We are a nonprofit group dedicated to keeping the Tenderloin area of San Francisco clean and safe. We are a team of caring individuals who believe in the power of community to make a positive impact. Our mission is to collect and safely dispose of discarded needles to prevent harm to the environment and our neighbors. Join us in our efforts to make a difference.
History of Tenderloin's Drug Problem
The Tenderloin district in San Francisco has a long-standing reputation for drug issues, tracing back to the 1960s when it became a center for drug activity. The area attracted drug dealers and users due to affordable housing and limited police presence.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote the health and safety of our communities by providing a platform for volunteers to safely and efficiently collect and dispose of discarded needles. We aim to reduce the risks of needle-related injuries and diseases while fostering a sense of civic responsibility and community engagement.
